Friction Materials Co. was founded in
1955 by Cliff Updegrave. Starting as a one man operation he rebuilt industrial clutches for the logging industry. Once the business was established, it quickly grew with a reputation for fast service and good quality. From clutches, the business expanded into truck brakes and industrial frictions specializing in light, medium and heavy duty components such as exhaust, power steering gears and suspension parts. Cliff Updegrave has since retired and the business is now operated by his son Butch Updegrave. For over 40 years Friction Materials has succeeded with two words, "Service and Quality”.
We offer many heavy and light duty parts, rebuilt clutches, agricultural clutches, relined brakes, truck parts, industrial bands frictions and heavy duty components. All these products and services reflect our high standard of quality.
